Engineering Manager- Waterford. Job Purpose: To develop, lead and manage the Engineering Team. To work effectively in support of the broader business. Responsibilities: Health & Safety. •Comply at all times with the Health, Safety and Environmental policy and associated procedures. • Continuously promote a positive safety culture by challenging yourself and others to prioritize safety in everything you do. Quality Compliance. • Ensure all work carried out, is in compliance with the required standards, conforming to company, cGMP, SOP’s and regulatory guidelines. • Take ownership for quality compliance in all activities you are responsible for. Management. •Participate as part of the Area Management Team in the effective running of the site day to day activities. •Ensure there is a culture of Trust and engagement both across the Management team and in the Engineering Function. •Prepare and oversee the Engineering Department budget including timelines, resource demands and allocations. •Maintain Department performance metrics. •Effectively manage the Engineering Department including performance management, coaching and mentoring. Engineering. •Accountable for Maintenance, Facilities, Automation and calibration, including the development and implementation of best in class Maintenance standards. •Accountable for the management of site wide incremental capital investment to schedule and to budget. •Management of the Engineering Budget. •Develop Continuous improvement processes and Problem solving processes which are data centric. •Responsible for the maintenance of Engineering documentation, including drawings. •Responsible for managing Engineering changes in both GMP and non GMP environments. Team Development. •Recruit high calibre staff as needed. •Lead Team through alignment to the corporate values. •Develop high trust and high performance culture in the Team. •Draft individual development plans for all Team Members. •Ensure that strong relationships are built and that the Team is aligned with other functions to deliver business value. Minimum Qualifications & Experience. Qualified to a minimum of degree level in an Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 10 year’s engineering experience within pharma environment. Previous management and supervisory experience. Skills and Behavioural Competencies. •Strong leadership skills. •Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks. •Knowledge and understanding of Maintenance, Facilities, Instrumentation, Validation and Project Management. •Can interact with audits (internal and external) from a quality and safety perspective. •Strong report writing skills. •Strategic thinking. •cGMP compliance.
