Sigmar Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to work with our Waterford based client. This is a permanent role, offering an excellent package, working conditions and opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will support, debug and improve complex automation systems. This is a highly technical role that would be suited to a candidate a background in med device/ pharmaceuticals. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Develop, design and implement cost effective processes and equipment. Co-ordinate daily Front End activity. Identify and eliminate repeated machine failure. Provision of consultative support to both Manufacturing and Maintenance groups. Utilise Lean Six Sigma tools and data in order to promote continuous improvement. Prepare design specifications and associated documentation for equipment and system upgrades. Ensure personnel engaged in operations/maintenance duties have sufficient knowledge and training to perform each task accurately. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Be familiar with 21 CFR part 820 guidelines. Provide technical data to both internal and external audit inspection groups. Comply with all Health and Safety regulations and company policies. Skills & Attributes Required: Bachelors in Engineering (mechanical/ electronic. Minimum of 4 years experience in a technical role within a high volume manufacturing environment. Strong experience with Injection Moulding essential. Experience with Solidworks and Six Sigma would be a distinct advantage. Exceptional problem solving abilities, must be able to identify facts, analyse information and consider alternative solutions. Previous experience within med device/ pharmaceutical industry preferred. Proven history working in a validated environment with strong discipline in regard to change control.
