A leading multinational manufacturing company based in Waterford currently has a vacancy for a Plant Maintenance and Safety Manager to join their team. This is an opportunity to join a well established manufacturing company who are investing heavily in new machinery and equipment. As the Plant Maintenance and Safety Manager you will take responsibility for all maintenance, environmental and health & safety aspects on site. This is a senior role within the company and will report directly into the General Manager. The Role. As the Plan Maintenance and Safety Manager you will: Lead continuous improvement, capital and non-capital projects within maintenance. Ensure that the site meets its equipment and operational performance goals. Ensure a best practice PM System is implemented. Devise, manage and ensure all Safety and Environmental procedures are in place and are followed. The Person. Degree qualification in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or other relevant, technical equivalent. 6+ years' experience in engineering / maintenance roles within a manufacturing environment: Proven track record of Maintenance Management AND People Management, including management of budgets. Project management experience with proven track record. Previous experience working on large capital projects and technology introduction / maintenance. Demonstrable interest in technology and leading edge Maintenance Management Techniques. Previous experience in environment, health & safety matters is essential.
