Health and Safety Specialist - Waterford. Job Purpose: To support campus wide through a partnering arrangement with areas of the business. Ensuring at all times that Health, Safety and the Environment are prioritised. Responsibilities: Culture. a.Develop a culture of individual responsibility where all Team Members feel a sense of ownership for their own safety and that of their colleagues. b.Maintain a positive atmosphere with respect to Safety and the Environment within the organization. Safety and the Environment. a.Develop & continuously improve site procedures and processes in alignment with site growth. b.Ensure consistent monitoring and safety practices exist across all departments. c.Ensure that Safety metrics are compiled on a monthly basis. d.Ensure compliance with site documentation including Policy, SOPs and Safety Statement. e.Ensure safety compliance concerns are escalated immediately. f.Maintain EHS objectives and targets annually. g.Ensure that Legislative requirements are reflected in site procedures and processes at all times. h.Carry out internal audits of safety systems onsite. i.Coordination and development of site emergency response processes. j.Maintain OHSAS 18001 standard and support the attainment and maintenance of future standards. k.Carry out H&S Induction training to new employees as required. l.Review & communicate any changes to Legal Register for the site. Health. In conjunction with HR & EHS Manager, develop programmes for promoting health and well-being both mentally and physically. Minimum Qualifications & Experience. 1. Diploma in Health and Safety or Equivalent. 2.At least 3 years’ experience working in H&S role in a Manufacturing Facility. 3.Experience in Pharma and/or Process safety an advantage.
