Description

The Role Responsible for the Provide advice and support on all related EHS matters to all employees and clients as required. Manage QHSE direct reports and take responsibility for Team development and work programmes in relation to company, Team and personal performance. Responsible for the management of EHS activities in the plant. Develop and implement health, safety and environmental programs in the company. Prepare and present EHS statistics and information as part of KPI measurements. Co-ordinate and prioritise EHS related internal and external audits. Lead programs to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance across the business. Work in conjunction with the Quality Manager to ensure the maintenance of related ISO Standards (9001, 14001, and possible 18001 implementation. Update the relevant management systems to ensure they are robust for compliance purposes, whilst reflecting real practices and decisions required for management control. Support the delivery of QHSE training and identify any training needs. Conduct effective induction and orientation sessions. Manage training budget. Provide opportunities for ongoing development. Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary. The Person 3 rd Level Degree in Occupational Health & Safety/Environmental Management or other recognised equivalent. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Excellent judgment and decision-making ability. Understanding of EHS regulatory policies, procedures, and processes ability to cast vision, lead, motivate and influence others. Excellent negotiation and influencing skills supported with strong project management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and in writing. Ability to multi-task and have meticulous attention to detail.
