We have an opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join the team at facility in Dungarvan Co Waterford. The Payroll Assistant will assist the Payroll Specialist with the payroll function for multiple legal entities. They will help with the day to day processing of data and running of the Finance Department. They will be involved in the optimisation of the Finance function to ensure best practice in reporting systems, internal control framework and IT systems. Responsibilities: - Prepare and process Bi-Weekly Payroll to strict deadlines including filing of P45s, P30, P60. - Act as key point of contact for all payroll, pension, Health Insurance and Time & Attendance queries. - Preparation and reporting on key metrics to help drive operational efficiency e.g. absences, holiday accruals/utilisation, overtime etc. - Preparation and submission of all 3rd party deductions (Pension, Health Insurance, Social Welfare, BIK, LPT. - Maintain accurate and up to date HR records for all employees. - Prepare and submit Revenue returns and payroll related CSO returns. - Manage expense claims. - Support Payroll system upgrades. - Assist with month end accounts preparation & reporting. - Maintain Petty Cash Book and Floats. - Other tasks / duties that may be required in order to perform the role and support the finance function. - Continuous improvement – identification of opportunities for improvement of quality and service and implementation of action plans for continuous improvement designed in collaboration with management. - Accounts Technician/Part Qualified Accountant or willingness to pursue further qualifications. - IPASS certification preferred. Requirements for this role: - Strong IT skills / Excel. - Diligent, hard-working, takes ownership of tasks. - Organised, accurate, with good productivity and attention to detail. - Passionate about process improvement. - Good communication skills both internally and externally.
