Our client, a leadingWaterford based manufacturing company currently has a vacancy for a Product Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. You will lead on the implementation phase of all new products, work closely with the Design Development team and manage / implement changes to improve design for manufacture. Ideally you will have a good understanding of product design principles and manufacturing processes. The RoleAs a Product Manufacturing Engineer you will: Take responsibility for product costings and cost estimates. Implement all appropriate specification changes and ensure the SAP product BOM matches the latest specification. Manage print and die layouts. Check and sign-off BOM’s and specification changes. Coordinate first production runs. Liaise with all departments on suggested product improvements. The Person Engineering or Product Design degree. 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment. Excellent understanding of manufacturing tolerances and Design for Manufacture. 3D CAD experience, preferably Solid Works. SAP experience. Knowledge of Moulding, Printing and Die-making processes.
