What you need to know. You will work as an Electronic Payments Operations Manager for our client based in the South East, easily commutable from Waterford City (20 min) and County, and South Tipperary (30 min. This is a full-time and permanent role . You will report directly into the International Controller. You will be responsible for the research, implementation and day-to-day management of electronic payments programs, with a focus on credit card, direct debit, mobile and digital wallet processes. The location for this role is primarily Co. Waterford, with the potential for some international travel on an ad hoc basis. Keyduties & responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day relationship with multiple payments processors. Filling the role of primary contact with payment processors on all issues and projects. Setting up Merchant Accounts with processors. Financial planning, researching, implementing, overseeing and tracking these payment programs. Supervise/Review credit card descriptions for accuracy. Handle chargeback and fraud cases as required. Create and maintain credit card and direct debit rules on the system. Evaluate current technologies and platforms for clients for optimum performance (eg. PayPal, payment processor systems, etc.) Ensure compliance with payment process regulations. Research new and emerging technologies, as well as vetting new business opportunities (legal and processing requirements for new technologies, expansion into new countries, new payment processors, mobile and digital wallets, etc.) Manage ad hoc requests from clients, such as inquiries on refunds, chargebacks, declined transactions, new payment methods, etc., as well inquiries from processors, accounting and operational teams. Work closely with Customer Service teams, Operations, Development, Accounting, Legal, and Tax teams, as well as our Clients on projects. What are we looking for? 3rd Level Qualification in Business, Finance, Marketing or Commerce. 5 years’ work related experience with at least 3 years at management level. Previous Electronic Payments Processing experience will be a strong advantage. Knowledge of SQL is a plus. Computer literate, with minimum of intermediate-level skills using MS Suite. Strong research and analytical expertise. Strong attention to detail. Proven problem-solving capabilities. Strong management and leadership skills. Confident speaker with good presentation skills and communications skills. Ability to multi-task and manage several projects effectively.
