Sigmar Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to work with our globally renowned client in Waterford. This is a permanent role offering a market leading salary and benefits package as well as an outstanding working environment. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing process. You will ensure that production is maximised whilst ensuring costs are kept low and quality remains high. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of production including the introduction of new technology. Take responsibility for all production opportunities (PPI, yields, down-time, quality control, metrics, machinery and HR issues. Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies into daily practices and procedures. Provide excellent technical guidance to all production staff. Take a leadership role with operational issues and challenges. Drive a culture of quality and compliance. Conduct regular performance appraisals of staff. Implement staff training & development programs. Ensure health and safety standards are upheld across the production facility. Adhere to all cGMP SOP’s and guidelines in all daily activities. Candidate Specification: Third level qualification (preferably in a technical discipline. Proven experience in a leadership role within a high volume production environment. Ability to motivate and lead large teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. High level of technical knowledge around the production process. Self-motivated. Excellent decision making and problem solving skills. Strong level of IT skill.
