Statistician -12 Month Contract

Hartley People recruitment are looking to recruit for a Statistician based in Waterford for a 12 month maternity leave contract. The role: Lead the development of site statistical systems. Lead the training of engineering and quality personnel in the use of these systems, specifically in the use of Minitab and JMP statistical software. Support the roll out of statistical process control across the manufacturing platforms to promote equipment and product reliability. Analyse and interpret statistical data to identify significant differences in relationships among sources of information. The ideal candidate: Must have a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or Applied Math. Minimum of 2 years prior work experience in Statistics for those with only a Bachelor’s degree. Individuals with 4 years prior work experience as a Statistician or Biostatistician in a related industry may also be considered for the position. Must have Lead 6 Sigma Black belt qualification. Excellent understanding of the applications of statistics in a manufacturing environment. Experience using statistical analysis packages, particularly Minitab and JMP. Must be familiar with regulatory statistical expectations. Must be experienced in leading project teams independently.
