Description

Reporting to: ThreeD Scientific Co-ordinator & SEAM Centre Director. Duration: 36 months. The Role. • Manage the day to day running of the ThreeD Designated Activity Company. • Develop resource materials for training courses in the area of metal additive manufacturing. • Plan the schedule & delivery of the training courses for industries and Engineering students of WIT and other academic institutions. • Promote ThreeD activities and Develop its business portfolio. • Develop standards in cooperation with partners for the use of metal additive manufacture. • Purchase and acquire suitable equipment for ThreeD to ensure a world class service to customers. • Handle metal additive powders for machine set up. • Plan prototype manufacture projects and ensure timely delvery to customers. • Guide, tutor and support other staff members of ThreeD and develop their skills to ensure growth of the business. Requirements: Applicants should have a Mechanical Engineering qualification preferably in the area of production engineering with minimum of 20 years proven experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing and CNC Manufacture. Desirable Skills. • 4-5 year experience in a senior Management role. • Proven track record in sales and marketing. • Hands on experience in handling various metal working equipment as well as CAD/CAM software. • Proven experience with a variety of Metal Additive Manufacturing system. • Practical approach to problem solving & good grasp of engineering principles. • Proven experience with financial planning for a business. • Proven experience with the handling of metal powders. • A good knowledge on polymer AM techniques. • Capable of diligent recording of outputs of work activity. • Good degree of computer literacy with good working knowledge on applications such as Materialise Magics and Solid Works. • Good Project Management and communication skills. • Capable of working on own initiative. • Good team working and interpersonal skills.
