Scheduling Manager – Waterford – Full time.   Hartley People currently have a great opportunity for a scheduling manager to join an exciting growing company based in Waterford.   The Role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planning professional to work within a fast-paced industry and dynamic work environment. The scheduling manager is an innovative individual with a passion for process improvement and efficiency. Key to success in this role is the pro-active management of people, systems and processes. Continuous improvement in developing and implementing innovative scheduling models within the customer service operation is also a core element of the role.   Determine daily holiday/personal time, training and meeting capacity based on volume forecasts. Identify and drive improvement initiatives that optimise capacity. Work with all internal stakeholders to ensure that current and accurate data is used in planning purposes to meet operational requirements. Develop effective work schedules to match business requirements, balanced with agent requirements. Interpreting and challenging data to ensure appropriate strategies are adopted and resource allocation is maximised. To own the end to end production of agent schedules, ensuring application of correct budget and performance assumptions, optimal optimisation of all variable shrinkages and provision of clear communication and actions within both planning and operations of projected delivery, challenges and proposals. Review and validate all client outputs prior to submission with ownership for change approval to all published schedules. Maintain optimal shift balance, feeding into recruitment and working with operations to balance agent requirements and business demands through shift reviews. Provide optimum resource schedules to agree staffing levels, with on-going continuous improvement initiatives in place. Implement and attend regular reviews with management team in relation to services provided by your team. To lead your team to achieve / exceed their objectives and performance goals, whilst working to provide coaching and upskilling to all members in line with their objectives therefore fostering a positive team ethos. Escalate any identified issues / risks/ exceptions to the appropriate area. To contribute to overall achievements of all KPI’s by maintaining agreed personal targets.   Key Skills & Experience. Minimum of 3yrs experience in a planning role, ideally scheduling across a large virtual organisation. Excellent oral and written communication skills to deliver resource planning information that is understood. Strong and demonstrable experience in managing a large and complex scheduling function using a WFM solution. Proven organisational and planning skills and ability to deliver on time to tight deadlines. Excellent Excel capabilities. Commercial awareness with an understanding of business profitability. Ability to work under own initiative within a team-based environment. Ability to identify potential problems and resolve them efficiently. Decision making ability knowing when to escalate and when to own and manage issues.
