HR Business Partner. (Contract position. Job Summary: Working as part of the HR team, the HR generalist will proactively introduce, implement and support HR “Best practice” ensuring that the HR department acts as a strategic business partner and adds value to Sun Life Organization, (in Ireland and Overseas. Main Accountabilities: Resourcing : Proactively liaise with key business stakeholders to agree staffing requirements, recruit and select talented employees, co-ordinate retention initiatives and analyze turnover trends and actions. Training & Development: Working closely with in-house training team, co-ordinate T&D initiatives linked to TNA and organizational development, thereby supporting internal progression and succession planning. Compensation and Benefits: Proactively oversee compensation and benefits for your business partners, including co-coordinating the merit, market adjustments and bonus payouts for the annual review process, mid year reviews, internal equity and external competitiveness. Performance Management : Act as a Business partner to a dedicated area of the business, proactively advising and supporting people and managers in all aspects of performance management, to ensure consistency, fairness and respect in the workplace. Maximize the “value add” of the HR department by utilizing fully all online tools /databases at our disposal (Workday, the Exit Interview tool etc) for reporting purposes and ensuring an efficient and professional turnaround on all queries to the HR team. Organisational Development: Identify, develop and implement site- and company-wide initiatives and integrated messaging to enable a high performance culture, recognizing our Human Resources as our key competitive advantage. Continually review and update HR policies and procedures to reflect Best Practice (as appropriate), legislative changes and/or Company initiatives. Ensure any and all such changes are effectively rolled out across the business. Support Irish and US led HR initiatives by assuming a project management role as necessary. Lead and complete projects by developing a comprehensive project plan, maximizing stakeholder engagement while managing timelines. Essential Skills and Experience: - Minimum of 5 years as a HRBP or Generalist. - Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills. - Professional presentation and written skills. - Relevant HR or Business degree preferred but not essential. - Ability to self-start and work independently on own initiative as required. - Proven track record of project managing HR initiatives to completion.
