As a Building Materials Sales Representative, you’ll provide a high-quality service to customers visiting Grafton’s busy branch in Waterford. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll generate sales, build strong relationships with customers and manage construction-related activity with key customers in a defined geographical area. Specifically, you will: - Promote the company’s products and services. - Visit customers’ sites when required. - Prepare quotations. - Manage the commercial aspects of customer projects. - Develop account plans to meet sales targets. To be considered, you’ll need: - At least two years’ proven building materials sales experience within the construction industry. - Experience of selling steel products. - A track record of dealing with building contractors and specifiers. - Excellent knowledge of existing and upcoming building material products, ideally including steel. Customer and results-focused, as a Building Materials Sales Representative, you will have great communication and listening skills and an open mindset. Excellent team-working abilities are also key. A third level qualification in construction or a business-related discipline would be highly beneficial to your application.
