Sigmar Recruitment have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Buyer to work with our globally renowned client in Waterford. This is a permanent role, offering a marketing-leading salary and benefits package as well as excellent working conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Buying process, from PO management, tender review and new supplier set-up to the production of regular, accurate reports. You will be a motivated, self-starter with strong negotiation and decision-making skills. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Review all Purchase Orders for accuracy and compliance and ensure they are sent out in a timely manner. Fast-track Purchase Orders as required. Raise special payment requests as necessary. Analyse tender returns and issue RFQ packages. Obtain and prepare approvals for the set-up of all new suppliers. Monitor imports, ensuring all documentation is compliant. Communicate any compliance/ documentation errors to Customs Clearing Agents. Run weekly SOX and PO amendment reports. Manage company mobile phone accounts, introduction of all new handsets and configuration of new accounts. Update SOP’s and work instructions on the internal database. Support the contract approval process. Candidate Specification: Third level qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain or other relevant discipline. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Procurement within the Healthcare industry. Extensive MRP experience. Working knowledge of ERPLx is desirable but not essential. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to influence and negotiate effectively. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work on your own initiative.
