Instrumentation Technician. Oyr client a Leading Manufacturer who works within Pharma and Biopharma industries has a vacancy for the position of Automation/Instrumentation Technician.  The position will include a broad range of tasks and activities and drive improvements in multiple manufacturing processes, Continuous Improvement, New Product Introduction, Lean and compliance with industry and market regulatory standards for the company.  Key Requirements and Duties: Sustain and develop the existing manufacturing processes including high standard of UHP industry instrumentation wiring, instrumentation operation, PLC control & instrumentation hook-up, pneumatic solenoid terminal operation and testing. Complete standard testing of instrumentation using existing PLC test tools, standard electrical testing such as Point to point wiring check, Grounding continuity testing, Power operational testing, and I/O confirmation. Understanding basic electrical standard relative to component selection – UL2464. UL2360, FM4910 (cables, hoses, trays etc), CE, IEC, SEMI, CSA etc – responsible for component selection. Review and responsibility of customer selected components to ensure compatibility with overall module operation and functionality, and/or specification of components as required by specification – including transducers, positioners, proximity sensors, limit switches etc across multiple industries (semiconductor, bioprocessing, power generation etc. Understanding of communication protocols, connectivity, control, gateway interfaces etc – Multiple communication protocols – Devicenet, Profinet, Profibus, Ether CAT, Ethernet, I/O Link, Analog/Digital, Operate within a certified ISO9001:2015 quality system.  This includes ensuring that all product is operational and fit for purpose, focus on continual improvement and compliance to market standards. Ensure manufacturing processes are completed with sufficient quality workmanship. Participate in internal audits to identify process gaps and. Participate in and lead Problem Solving, Failure & Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment & FMEAs, activities. Comply with Inspection Monitoring and Process Control procedures to improve operational efficiency. Work within the business unit cross functional team to continuously improve its achievement of quality and business goals.    Attributes:   Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills are required with an ability to effectively communicate improvement projects to management and customers. Knowledge of mass flow controllers (MFC) advantageous. Experience in engineering/manufacturing regulated environment is preferable. Electrical/Electronics background is strongly confirmed. Some travel will be involved. Full clean drivers licence required.
