A growing company require a Senior Microbiologist to spearhead the establishment of a new lab. Working closely with the site management team you will be key to commissioning a new testing laboratory. The role will require a broad skillset; both SME knowledge of microbiological and sterility testing methods but also project management and supervisory skills. Being the key leader for the project you will have the opportunity to shape its development and contribute directly to it`s success. On offer is a negotiable salary and benefits package. You`ll need to bring highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills alongside excellent interpersonal skills with a confident and assertive manner, meticulous record keeping and be conscientious and reliable. About the Job: Sterility testing, Bacterial Endotoxin analysis as per Pharmacopoeia, TVC and pathogen analysis, Preservative efficacy analysis. Environmental monitoring, trending and identifying species. Method Validation including inhibiting cephalosporins. Perform identification of microorganisms. Provide technical advice to clients. Ensure adequate supplies of materials and consumables are available to support projects. Ensure that activities are scheduled to provide an accurate and timely service to support business requirements. Identify incidents of out of specification results and inform their Line Manager. Assist in investigations as required. Ensure that laboratory equipment remains in calibration and functions as required. About You: Degree or higher in Microbiology. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a relevant testing environment. Some Supervision or Project Lead experience. SME in testing methods. EU Passport or valid work visa for Ireland.
