Ensure that technical queries raised during project are dealt with in accordance with TSO standards and policies and are closed out efficiently. • Ensure that contestable projects are carried out in a manner which meets company requirements by: o Reviewing and comparing submitted detailed designs against companies functional requirements and outline designs. o Onsite inspection and monitoring of construction progress for compliance with company standards, functional requirements and outline designs. o Ensure developments are commissioned to comply with the company requirements by: § Producing and issuing commissioning instructions. § Verifying transmission system requirements are met to allow commissioning tests to proceed. • Engage with New Connection & Transmission Projects project managers to ensure technical deliverables on projects are achieved. • Manage interactions on own projects with client engineering vendors, customers and internal stakeholders. • Facilitate and input into project reviews, assessment and auditing by internal and external parties as required. Knowledge, Skills and Experience. • Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree with a minimum 2 years’ experience in the delivery of transmission assets. • Transmission Substation design experience with experience assessing substation designs for conformity to standards at 110/220/400 kV. • Ensuring TAO, Generator, Demand and IPP customers are provided with all requisite functional and technical standards. • Experience completing onsite inspection and monitoring of construction progress for compliance to ensure transmission assets can be commissioned in accordance with standards. • Experience preparing and issuing transmission design drawings, such as single line diagrams, substation layout drawings, protection schematics and interlocking drawings, etc. • . • Proven ability to provide technical input to project managers and to track and monitor key tasks and take responsibility for own technical deliverables. • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem solving abilities. • Full drivers licence.
