The Operations Lead is accountable for the operational performance of all programs ensuring that KPIs are achieved. The Operations Lead leads the core operations team to ensure product fulfillment, quality/compliance, on time delivery, customer satisfaction and safety are achieved in a cost effective manner. • Overall management of day to day activities within production ensuring customer requirements are met in a timely, compliant, safe and cost-effective manner. • Oversees the planning, supervision, coordination, analysis and reporting of all production activities. • Conducts daily huddles/communications with teams to ensure both short and long term goals are met. • Support operations management and value stream leader in ensuring personnel are organised on appropriate shift patterns as required to achieve optimum operational performance. • Works closely with operations management on establishing budgets and maintaining productive interdepartmental relationships. • Manage the day to day requirements of the Production Schedule and communicate changes effectively and efficiently. • Provide support to the value stream in executing the production plan to meet the customer requirements. • Develop, motivate and challenge all direct reports to perform to their full potential, providing direct and timely feedback. • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team leaders and direct reports. • Perform meaningful and effective performance reviews for all direct reports professionally and in a timely manner. • Work with quality team to ensure timely and effective closure of all operational NCE’s, CAPA, change control and deviations. • Work with HR and training department to develop and implement training programs for direct reports to support succession planning. • Proactively work with HR in driving resource requirements and employee relations/engagement. • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. • Enforces safety rules and regulations designed to create and maintain a safe working environment. • Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes. • Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events. • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position. Requirements. • Level 8 Degree in Business or relevant discipline desirable. • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare/contract manufacturing environment. • Previous people management and leadership experience essential. • Knowledge of financial aspects of manufacturing. • In-depth understanding of GMP and safety regulations. • Must have experience determining and meeting customer requirements. • Practical use of Lean continuous improvement techniques.
