Accounts Technician - Part Time

Hartley People are looking to recruit a Part Time Accounts Technician for a well known multinational client based here in Waterford.  The Person:  Accountant/Accounting Technician would be an advantage but there is flexibility depending on the potential candidates skill set. Experience of internal control design and monitoring. Experience working in audit/compliance/internal audit is an advantage. Tax experience would be an advantage but is not essential. Key eye for detail and follow through. The Role:  The person would essentially be focused on ensuring that internal controls in the back office function are properly implemented and being adhered which would include monitoring and testing. Authorisation matrix testing. Ensure that expense claims are being submitted, approved and paid in line with internal guidelines. This would also involve work around the expansion of people coverage around the group on the SAP Concur expense platform which is used in the business. Ensuring invoices are signed off before payment. Ensuring that purchase orders are completed accurately. Following up with the procurement team on corrective action where required. Ensuring that tax returns in various jurisdictions have been filed and paid on time.
