Our client, a technical engineering services provider are seeking a Financial Controller to join their team. This position will be based in Waterford and involve the management of a team of 6. Responsibilities include: Manage and oversee the day to day operations of the finance department. Monitoring and reporting on company KPI’s. Management and first line review of the group consolidation process. Cash forecasting. Monthly balance sheet reconciliation sign offs. Management various business functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure that effective financial controls are in place to minimise risks. Management of the payroll system in line with Revenue requirements. Management of payroll for 3 rd parties (service providers & contractors. Responsible for yearend audit process. Responsible for liaising with external parties including banks, auditors and insurers. Provide support to Finance Director regarding the preparation of annual budgets. Responsible for compiling management accounts, annual returns and external reporting. Reviewing subsidiary and group statutory accounts including reconciliation tables to management accounts. Responsible for reviewing and updating SOP’s and internal controls. Management and development of direct reports within the financial team. Lead continuous improvements within the finance function. Working on digital transformation projects. Risk management and identifying areas for improvement to improve operational efficiency.
