Description

Our client, a Waterford based company are recruiting a Senior Data Quality Analyst for a full time permanent position. The Role: Performs business requirement analysis for all data modifications associated with population of the data warehouses and extraction of data from the data warehouses. Coordinates project and regression testing efforts. Creates combined estimates for all Data Solutions activates and communicates these to project manager team. Facilitates elaboration sessions to elicit requirements. Creates Business Requirement Specifications to document all data model changes. Creates technical documents to describe the load or extraction of data. Responsible for creating and updating mapping documents and data load validation rules. Creates test check lists and test strategy documents. Thoroughly executes test plans to ensure accuracy of data loads and extracts. Documents all logic and data quality and reports progress on problem resolution to management. Devises improvements to current procedures and looks for new ways to increase efficiency and accuracy. Performs workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements to upstream processes where data quality issues exist. Maintains expert level of business functional knowledge for an assigned data domain. Promotes a high level of data quality awareness. Reviews specs and test plans to ensure accuracy. The Person. BS/BA degree or equivalent experience is necessary. 2-4 years progressive experience as a Quality Assurance Discipline, Business Analyst or Applications Analyst/Programmer. 3+ years’ experience with SQL, Query Analyser. Experience with test applications – Quality Centre, Rational Suite or similar. Experience with Data Profiling tools – Trillium or Pandora – would be an advantage. Experience with Data Governance Tools and Methodology preferred. Strong communication, organisational, interpersonal and project planning skills. Demonstrated aptitude towards problem identification, resolution and comprehension and interpretation of technical procedures. Requires sound knowledge of quality assurance methods and procedures, as well as familiarity with the full project life cycle development processes.
