About the Job. The job is to assist the Quality department, support the company’s quality management system and customer requirements within a fast paced, self-motivated and growing engineering manufacturing environment. The position involves dealing with quality inspections, primary packaging, measuring equipment, and support to the Quality department. Key Responsibilities. •Inspection of incoming goods and materials, in-process inspections and final release inspections. •Creation of Certificates of Compliance for products. •Liaise with Accounts Manager, Goods In/Out and Purchasing to ensure timely response for parts awaiting inspections. •Complete records of inspections carried out. •Raise Nonconformity Reports for failed inspections and assist in investigations of these. Liaise with production and suppliers, if required. •Carry out First Article Inspections and complete records of these. •Work with calibrated measuring and test equipment to complete inspections. •Monitor the calibration status of equipment and prepare equipment to be sent out for calibration. Receive in and complete records for calibrated measuring equipment. •Develop and assist in quality inspection reports and trending. •Packaging of some products into its primary packaging after in-process inspections and/or final release inspections. Preparation of labels and primary packaging materials. •Support and assist quality department in maintaining compliance to ISO 9001. •Undertake any other duties as assigned. Job Requirements. •Minimum 3 years related experience in an engineering & manufacturing environment essential. •Qualification in Quality/Science would be an advantage. •A good understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001: 2015 requirements for a Manufacturing Environment; including measurement techniques essential. •Working knowledge of quality tools such as Problem Solving/Root Cause Analysis. •Experience of investigations into Nonconformities, CAPA, and Complaints. •Good computer skills. Skills/Abilities. •Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organisational levels. •Excellent oral and written communication skills. •Experience using measuring and testing equipment. •Experience working with General Assembly Drawings. •Experience working within GMP, cleanroom, medical devices, and other highly regulated environments. •Experience working with fast paced, self-motivated and growing engineering manufacturing environment.
