Our client, a well-established grocery store based in Co. Waterford are currently recruiting a Deli Manager. The successful candidate will ensure the Deli Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times and provides their customers with excellent quality products and service. Main Duties: Ensure all staff reporting to you are of a minimum required standard of training to work the a fresh food area. The achieve sales targets as agreed with the Store Manager. To achieve a Gross Profit Margin & Net Martin as agreed with the Store Manager. Ensure duties of staff members are carried out effectively and efficiently. Ensure all staff members are trained to EIQA standards. Ensure the highest standard of customer service is given to customers at all times. Ensure weekly stocktaking procedures are adhered to. Ensure purchasing of stock is carried out in accordance with procedures and control of stock rotation, so that quality and freshness of goods is of the highest order so as to maximise turnover. Monitor and control department overheads. Ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times. Attend weekly management meetings and hold staff communication meetings regularly. Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to and recorded in your department. Participate in quality review meetings and ensure action plans are carried out. Ensure hygiene standards are to the highest standards including a comprehensive HACCP plan. Ensure merchandising & presentation of the department is to the highest standard at all times. Ensure standard and promotional pricing is maintained correctly. Ensure Goods In procedures are adhered to. Be aware and adhere to Health & Safety Regulations relevant to your department and to notify any breaches to management. Perform any other duties as directed to you by management from time to time. The Ideal Candidate: 2 years’ experience in a Supervisor/Manager role is desirable. 1 years’ experience in a role with in-depth experience with fresh food is desirable. Experience in successfully achieving sales targets and KPI’s. Fully trained in HACCP and food safety, and has experience in meeting these requirements. Experience in ordering for deli departments and managing waste within a fresh food department. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Numerical skills. Ability to adhere to budgets.
