Hartley people are recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a well-known multinational manufacturing to join their team for a 24-month contract. The role is to be the embedded business finance support and is the primary finance interface to the business, aligned to the business, thereby maximising the ability to build relationships. Scope includes decision support, simplification, financial management, and governance. Responsibilities: Provide expert advice to internal customer groups by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks. Create nonstandard financial analysis and present trends. Provide financial analysis using internal and external information based on benchmarking as requested. Execute simplification projects and implementation of best practices. Provide analytical support on an as needed basis to strategic activities such as business development, due diligence, third-party deals, partnerships, business evaluation and divestment proposals. Execute post-acquisition integration activities (e.g., operational excellence tracking. Support senior embedded business finance support in oversight of appropriate revenue recognition. Partner with senior embedded business finance support, general manager and marketing for consensus forecasting review and approval. Manage financial management activities for business unit in support of delivering business strategies and maintaining strong financial governance. Accountable for risk identification and management for strong financial governance. Add commentaries to standard management reports based on an in-depth knowledge of the business. Responsible for quarterly judgment report creation and year-end management certification (not reporting) for onward approval by senior business finance support. Review management accounts (actual, forecasts, budgets) to assist senior embedded business finance support in signing off on income statement and balance sheet. Assist in the management of corporate approvals (e.g., accounting for intellectual property, appropriate tax and transfer pricing, compliance with corporate development and treasury requirements. Qualifications: Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, MBA. Experience working in business/functional unit, ideally within a multinational manufacturing site and influence and challenge stakeholders at various levels. Proficient financial knowledge of modeling, analysis, evaluation, and forecasting. Experience working in cross-functional teams and across a matrixed environment. Good interpersonal skills demonstrated by creation of a network of key partners within Finance and the business and the ability to bridge communications gap between finance and non-finance. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a project using project management skills. Finance / business degree & professional accountancy qualification. Understanding of systems and processes as they affect the financial results (Unison, TM1, SAP, JDE, etc.
